NOT about video games this time.

Hi people. I'm sorry for, um...can't think...of word....frightening, consternating, and horrifying you with my previous post. This post will be video-game free, I promise. :D

Today I spent awhile trying to code comments back into my blog but I couldn't figure out how to assimilate it into the template code. It just won't work, but if you happen to be more HTML savvy than me, err...feel free to give some suggestions. I'm wondering if I should just go back to the boring dot template. But I'm unsure and I was hoping to get some feedback from you avid blog readers, although there are only two of you. Haha so I guess this could end up as a deadlock...but yes anyway, I don't know how I can really get feedback in the first place because I don't have comments. So, umm, if you're feeling kind sometime drop a comment on some poor blogger's blog or your post or send me an e-mail. How many times have I said "umm" in this post?

Okay well this summer has gotten off to a boring start, haha. I've basically been lounging around sleeping....and playing that which is forbidden to speak off in this entry. Except for the first two days. I ALMOST got out of the house today, but it didn't happen for various reasons. So I got stuck here looking up smoothie recipes. Haha.

Okay well I don't know if anyone really cares to hear more about the smoothies, so I'll just leave you. :-)

Stupid Post

I am 62% Video Game Addict.
I have a Video Game Problem
Video games are a big portion of my life, maybe too big of a portion. They are not a means of social interaction, despite what I might think. I should just go outside.

I love my life?

Okay so this is going to be a lame post but I just really needed to spread the love.
My dad got Battlefield 2!
It's awesome. Not that the people who read this blog care (coughMichalKatiecough) but yeah I just felt like sharing. It's seriously amazing. There are voice commands as well as the option to plug in a speaker/headphone set like on Xbox Live. And the graphics are great--especially for a PC game. The maps are enormous and the variety of weapons, vehicles, nationalities, and type of soldier is just awe and ooh worthy. You can be a marine, a special ops dude, a sniper, et cetera. It's just way cool. There are different kinds of tanks, light jeeps, heavy jeeps, turrets, helicopters, planes, etc. There's even an inflatable boat. You can press Q or something and these options/requests come up, like asking for more ammo, backup, etc...it's all strategy based, which is amazing. If things start getting really hot at a certain vantage point, the defensive/offensive team can call in a barrage by planes/helicopters, whatever...or tanks. You know. It's just sweet. But none of it's AI so you're relying on real people. There can be max. 64 players (that's 32v32) on one map. And I think there are different gametypes. You can be like, MEC, Chinese, American, etc. and within those armies there are squads (of 4) and random individuals. You can crouch, sprint, etc and you have different skills and advantages based on the type of soldier you are. There are like...support, snipers, assault, anti-tank, special forces or something, medics, etc. The medics can go at it with their paddles. And the thing is that if you get damaged beyond a certain point but aren't dead, you're disabled and critically wounded. So you lay there on the ground screaming for a medic and you have 15 seconds before you die and have to wait to respawn. If a medic makes it to you in time you can be revived. But the medics are real people--not AI. You can choose where you respawn--but you can only respawn at a friendly base. As you move up in ranking/stats you can become a squad leader and direct real, living people. And it's not like Halo where everything's basically clear on who your teammates are--it's not red vs. blue or anything. People wear camo like in real wars...and it might take a little while to figure out who's hostile and who's an ally. You can get tired too and when you get "exhausted" I guess you could call it, everything gets blurry and you move more slowly and there's this loud heartbeat/breathing thing for about 10 secs. And you can carry knives and special melee weaponry. And if you're on MEC team or something orders come in Arabian...if you're on US team it's in English, etc. Just sweet. And that's probably not even the half of it. Gawwshh dude, it's just wow. Blew me away. No joke. Hahaha. I'm such a loser for loving video games but you know what...deal with it. :D I spent about 40 minutes watching him play it. He was a special guy who could set off mines and it was just droolworthy. There was this one thing where his team was basically losing and there were like 10 enemies pwning at this one base, and so he basically went in and killed 3 or 4 guys with more or less grenades, and then he got shot up by the last guy in the room on the second floor (most of the enemies were on the third floor which was the rooftop) and then two guys on his team showed up and one was a medic so he revived him and then he went upstairs and threw down all these mines and detonated them and everybody died. And his team won like 3 minutes later. It was just awesome. Intense.

Oh yeah, and he bought a guide. It's a pretty fat guide for a multiplayer game...

Okay bye.

Screenwriting an Apology

Okay so I don't know what day it is anymore...I'm thinking that it's Thursday but no it's not...is it Friday? Okay so I'm gonna type this out and you don't have to read it. Tuesday-school ended, chelsea came over. Wednesday-Kaitlin came over. Thursday-spent alone. Friday-must be today.

Okay so I'm assuming that it's Friday, June 24. Nothing's really happened. Wednesday, Kaitlin came over. She came over at 12 and I'd been playing Halo 2 on XBL since 9:30am and all she wants to do when she comes over is play Halo 2 on XBL. (That's Xbox Live). It sucked. She left at 7. That's a lot of Halo. 9:30am-7pm. My eyes were going to fall out.

Then yesterday I spent alone, which was nice in a way. My mom bought those amazing Lofthouse cookies...at least that's what I think they're called...

Otherwise, life remains boring. :-)

Lalala

I forgot to mention Father's Day. We went out for Taco Time and then went into Seattle for the day. We visited all the shops, got ice cream, and went to the aquarium. Then we went to Bellevue for dinner at Sea Garden, a chinese seafood restaurant. They showed us the shrimp they would be cooking for us and Tessa and I couldn't eat the shrimp dish when it arrived at the table...but otherwise, it was a great, but tiring (not to mention HOT) day. When we got home Dad opened his presents and then went back to work on his Microsoft prototype thing in the garage.

It's finally cooling off. It rained today. I forgot how much I liked the rain. I guess I needed a dose of heat to appreciate it. I'm suddenly finding slugs all over the place. Outside, of course...

Chelsea came over today. She left around 5:30, though, because the Wolowskis were coming over to her house. But yeah, it was fun.

I'm so tired and I don't know why, so I'm going to go. Not that I have anything else to say, haha.

It's really hot.

Today was really interesting, believe it or not. *gasp*

Okay so I never really expected to say this but I actually kind of miss the colder weather. I have a thing for jackets and my etnies and now it's hard for me to wear them. The weather's been getting so hot. Like 80 degrees. That's really hot, okay?!? At least for Washington. I'm done with school, basically. My wonderful counselor e-mailed my mom the schedule for today and yesterday and I don't need to go tomorrow. There's just a two hour assembly I could attend, but it's all in honor of the ninth graders who are leaving for Eastlake High School and I don't really see the point in going. This year has really gone by fast, and I'm sorry, at least in some ways, that it's ended. I didn't even really get to say goodbye to Mr. Gervis. He's been one of my favorite teachers, as well as most challenging...by far. But the challenge was what kept my interest and what drove me to improve by such great lengths.

Today was an exhausting day...mostly because of the heat and because I only really have clothes for...well, normal Washington. So I was trudging around in 80 degree weather, which is hot, okay, in black jeans, a black jacket, a shirt, a cami, socks, etnies, the works, and my hair down. My dark hair. So, of course, I was almost entirely black and it kind of sucked. But yeah. It was cool. I love how I contradict myself. Yeah so anyways I went to math and got my final back, went to LASS and finished watching Remember the Titans, and then went to roundtable for two hours...but during roundtable (that's advisory) I went to lunch. The thing is, on "Fun Day" (yeah, the day before the last day) they do a barbeque or at least that's what they call it. What they really do is give you semi-cold (new vocabulary?) burgers/hotdogs to eat and give you a carton of milk and tell you to go away. I had lunch with Katrina, though, and some other people, so it was alright. Oh yeah and all the while I was signing/getting signed yearbooks.

Okay so the better part of my day was the actual Fun Day part. We got two hours outside/inside/gym to do whatever. It was, uhh, fun, but really hot. I'm going to stop telling you it was hot because I'm assuming you've gotten that part of the whole concept by now. Yep, so anyway. It was really great because I got to see all these people I never see anymore, whether that's because I'm now partially homeschooled, or, rather, was partially homeschooled, or simply because I don't have classes with them or anything. I spent like the whole time with Chelsea and I got to see Rachel and Jordan quite a bit which I really enjoyed because I never really get to see them anymore. :-( Yep but Rachel dyed her hair black, like, black black, which was...odd. Yep. Okay well enough about Fun Day.

Tessa graduated from sixth grade today, which was pretty...more exhausting. It was about 1.5 hours long and everyone got to sit there in a really hot stuffy room watching a powerpoint and listening to names being called off and the kids' favorite McAuliffe Elementary memories and stuff. I mean, not that it wasn't special, but it was just, really, really, tiring. I got to see the Wolowskis, who moved to Chicago about a million years ago, which was nice. Afterward we went to Ruby's, a restaurant...and then I was about ready to fall asleep since it was already like 8:30 or something. Now it's 11:02 and I have to go to bed. Goodnight!

don't stop, get it get it, until you're cheddar header.

Wow. So basically I've been so tired this week that I think all I'm going to do this weekend is couch potatoing. Everything for school is done, though...and now all I have to do is sit around for a day and a half. Then it's summer! I'm somewhat disappointed, however. Chelsea has family and friends in town for about two weeks, so I don't know how much I'm going to get to see her until July. :-( And I think a few of my other friends are disappearing to unknown realms (haha) for awhile...and then when everyone gets back I think that's when the lovely people who in comparison will make me look paler than I already do are coming to the wonderfully boring land known as Redmond, Washington, home of the strangest yet most boring people in the entire Milky Way galaxy. I really need to get out of Sammamish. I hate that name; it makes me think of salmon or something. Seattle ranked as the number one wireless city in the nation. I think I just read that in an article or something. I'm so weird or something. So yeah, or something...

In other thoughts, or something, next year's going to be difficult. My mom's going to attempt to teach me French II at home--not as a homeschooled class, just teaching me. So that means I'm going to have seven (gulp) classes next year, basically. Except that French, if you ask me, is way harder than Integrated II Math. Man. I wish summer would last forever. I'm kind of scared because now my grades are going to count. And if all my classes are going to become as difficult in terms of expectations and what not as Mr. Gervis' class, I think I'm going to undergo some spontaneous combustion.

The math final was pretty easy but there were two problems I had to guess on. Not that you care, I'm just thinking of things to say in this dumb blog of mine. The people who came in to talk about careers and whatever were really...not helpful, at least to me. They just talked about choices and how things that you do have both short and long term effects. To me, at least, and probably many others, it was like, "uhh...duh?" But yeah. It was sweet.

I have decided that I need a life. :)

The Dark of the Matinee

I second that, Katie. Quiz results don't count as updates...*cough*MICHAL!!*cough*

Okay well thus far my week has been really...stupid. I spent Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday doing my Civil Rights Movement Timeline. I was up until 1 AM this morning and then I woke up early to finish it. And it still looked like a piece o' crap. Oh well. Whatever, at least it's done. Ummm I can't think of that much to say besides the fact that there's 3.5 days left until school's out. Oh yeah, and today in LA/SS I had to take some weird job survey career interest thingy thing...I don't know what it's called. But yeah, I think it's somewhat early to be taking those, but ehh whatever. I got really high artistic and leadership scores, but otherwise I can't remember...I didn't have time to really look at it. I had to go finish my group project. We had to design a "Monument to Freedom" and for once I used my lovely math skills in LA/SS. Yeah. Weird. But apparently Mr. Gervis had announced to the class yesterday that the group project was due TODAY, Wednesday, rather than Thursday...and nobody in my group heard that. So we finished and were just sitting around and then Mr. Gervis said, "Go to break--presentations in 5 minutes," and we panicked. I had to write a [pretty DARN good] speech in like five minutes. But yes, everything is done for LA/SS now. After math finals on Thursday and Friday I'm done.

Tomorrow in LA/SS a guest speaker is coming in to talk to us about careers and stuff...and we're eighth graders. Talk about pressure, huh? I don't even have an idea of where I want to go yet. There's too much I'm interested in and it's not like I do badly in any subject. So I have no direction. Except that weirdo job test, but it was strange. Do they all ask you questions like, "Would you rather: Manage a fish hatchery OR Work heavy equipment and machinery?" and "Would you rather: Be a security guard OR Be a teacher?" Anyway, then on Friday in LA/SS we get to watch Remember the Titans for the Civil Rights stuff. *Carol voice*Whoowhoowhoowhoo. I like that movie.

I don't want to take my math finals. I hate finals. I can't remember that far back.

I'm so ready for summer. You cannot imagine how much I crave it...it's actually been warm today.
My mom is having a choir party as I type this. She's also playing really annoying, weird music...an earlier track sounded like it could've been off the Napoleon Dynamite soundtrack. Yes, strange, I know. Umm, yeah. I want to play Halo 2 on Xbox Live but there are now people in the kitchen. I wonder how offended they'd be by it. Ehh. Boredom. Boredom. Boredom. I was really hyper today during lunch. Chelsea, Jessa, and Jeremy stared at me. And I almost fell over on a couple people. It was cool. Donno why I just shared that with you.

I really should go study for my finals now, like a good little girl. Bleh...

interesting day.

So normally I wouldn't really be updating again after just one day, but I really feel bored and need to like, get this all down. Hahahah. Maybe you needed to be there for it to be funny, but seriously, it was pretty hilarious. Hahahaha, okay so Chelsea was over and she did a humongous burp in my face...and I threw up right there on my pretty orange rug, among other things I won't talk about. But seriously, it was hilarious. I guess you needed to be there.

Yeah, so I had my Chapter 10 Math Test today, last math test besides the Fourth Quarter Final. And I have two projects for Gervis. Almost done, almost done...

I also had my "end of the year writing conference" with Mr. Gervis. It made me really pleased. He told me that I should enroll in partial classes at the University of Washington in my sophomore or junior year and start getting college credits. :)

I'm going to bed. My throat hurts hahaha. Wow. Gooood times.

Speed of sound

This week has been so boring. Mr. Gervis is pretty much pushing us until the very end of the year. He assigned two more projects due next week--ahhh. I was hoping he would get a little nicer with the workload. But he's not. :-\ Oh well. Just tomorrow, next week, and then "Fun Day" and a half day. Then summer. I still need to figure out what I'm going to do soccer-camp-wise. I don't want to think about it ughh. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to a certain Sounders one because Lindsay yeah is gonna be there and I don't want to totally end up alone haha. Like at the Man-U camp last year...that was weird...

Anyway. Tomorrow my mom is throwing a kind of lunch with some of her friends and people she never sees anymore and stuff or whatever. And Katrina is coming over after school. She wants me to teach her to play Halo hahaha wow this is gonna be interesting. ??

ONLY 6 REAL DAYS LEFT OF SCHOOL BABY! YESSS!!!

Okay, if you're bored like me...here you go. :P

Angels with dirty faces

June 3 (yesterday) was the Honor Society Wild Waves Field Trip. The warm beautiful weather only lasted two days last weekend though. Go figure...and it was overcast and 58 degrees. Sniff. It was fun though. First we got to ride the nice fancy bus. Chels, Mac, Bre, KK, Tasha and I all pretty much stuck together. We were the first to ride the Wild Thing, a rollercoaster...yes, loop de loops and corkscrews!!!! The Timberhawk (yesss) was closed though, which totally sucked. Mac got Chelsea to ride the Ring of Fire with her...haha that's the kind of ride where it's a loop and the thing goes up, back to the other side, and like suspends you upside down and stuff. I would die on the Ring of Fire. Then we rode the wet rollercoaster...I think it had 'Niagra' in its name but I donno. We were all freezing so much towards the end that we went in the wave pool to warm up...but then it was way colder when we got out. Then I got an elephant ear and it was tasty. Then I rode the nice fancy bus back to school. I like nice fancy buses...I don't get how our school gets the money for "nice fancy buses" for everything except normal everday rides to and from school. I think they could spend the money on more important things like...cafeteria food. o_O Yep, anyway.

After that Chelsea came over and we were really bored until her dad came randomly as usual. He doesn't call, he just shows up. It's really odd.

Now it's Saturday, duh, and I'm trying to figure out what soccer camps and whatever I'm doing this summer.

So exciting, yes, I know...holy crap I think Scooter (dog) is being gassy...OMG i think i'm going to throw up...bye

sound effects and overdramatics

wow, okay so let me start off by saying that my darling cousin katie has a beautiful life. how the heck do you get to go to all those concerts you beanbag?! maybe the fact that you can drive helps. well yeah i wouldn't want to be at a concert by the used with my mom. that would be scary...and i don't really have friends who are into my music. okay now that i figured out the problem i just need to make some friends who share my taste in music....haha rachel likes country. i hate country with a passion. a burning passion.

AHHHHH KATIE YOU ARE SO LUCCKYYY pooshykins! <3

moving on..um, well my mom bought strawberries today...the carton is gone already, thanks to yours truly. yeah that's like my big news for today. haha. um. well on monday--day off--i went to a barbecue at stephanie's (my old neighbor) and chelsea was there which was completely awesome...understatement, actually. she's finally ungrounded! :P tehehehe. oh DUDE i did my whole cold war project in a day and got 100 percento hahahah i think that's really cool. i just thought i'd share my little piece of joy, my little piece of light in the darkness...yes that was a sad attempt at sounding poetic but yeahhh.

michal, this is my chemical romance. it's not a movie.
