sorry, here.
okay so i'm really sorry i don't update much anymore. i just...don't. so here it is, and i'll try to be better about it.
um, so the main event of december would probably be the power outage/storm. our power was out for eight days, from thursday to friday (the 14th to the 22nd). it was really bizarre because i didn't even hear about the coming storm until thursday afternoon at school when they announced cancellations for sports practices, meetings, etc. i didn't know what was going on, and then it got crazy-weather...like, waterfalls off our roof, thunder and lightning, wind. i wasn't even actually aware of that either until i got a call from jenna. we started talking and then she started screaming because lightning like hit really close to her car that she was just...sitting in because her power was out. and like, i don't know, but i thought that was crazy but wasn't expecting a crazy storm because i'd never experienced that or even heard about the storm until just recently. and then our power went out that evening. i was expecting a few hours or maybe a day since i knew it was supposed to be bad. that night we used the last of the battery on my laptop watching harry potter...and then our power obviously did not come back on. i didn't shower for four days until monday when i realized that the power was probably not coming back on anytime soon. (we didnt have running water or gas stoves in our kitchen, just a camping stove that we had to be careful about because of carbon monoxide) um..so, we lost about twenty trees. our driveway was covered and we had to clear it out with a crew and repave it. it's so...blank looking. the backyard's not as noticeable, at least if you don't live there. this is just like, sad, in a way. on friday the 15th jenna came over. she had to park like on the road before inglewood junior high if anyone reading this remembers where that is in comparison to my house. anyway, the road was closed because of fallen powerlines and trees...so she left her stuff there and walked to my house...which is why she was strangely 45 minutes late. i couldnt call anyone because my cellphone was dead and so was everyone elses. it was just so weird. i don't know, i guess like, i had never expected that to happen. it wasn't a disaster, it was just an inconvenience - like, compared to katrina. but you know, it's just kind of creepy to drive along roads and areas you found so familiar but then they are completely dark and dead. like..it's just weird. anyway, so jenna and i hung out and made really gross macaroni and cheese and then i dont know why im telling you this, maybe partially because i know i'll read this later and be like oh yeah! k anyway, sorry, i'm sooo tired i think i might just cut out my abdominal fat and clomp it onto my face. there wasnt anything else to do so we took a soccer ball and went to the church parking lot. i never realized how much the routine of our lives relies on electricity.... so it being mostly dark all the time, i slept for so much of the eight days. it was kind of gross, actually. i also spent most of the time that i was awake playing pokemon on gameboy advance..the only thing that took batteries, and our supply of that was also eventually depleted. around 5:30 pm on the 22nd we got our power back, which was kind of annoying because most of my friends got it back around sunday or monday. so lame. we spent some time at grandma's, obviously, haha..but not THAT much. nice relaxation periods. i also stayed the night at chelsea's one night (she got power on sunday) and then went to see the pursuit of happyness the day after. that was really nice - to feel like a normal person again, if only briefly. no myspace for eight days. i think i nearly died, but now i don't use it nearly as much. so i guess that whole thing accomplished SOMETHING for me.
i don't remember details of christmas, but i was so grateful that the power came back on. it was expected to be back on sunday night (xmas eve) at 10 pm, but it was a little earlier. that was a really great and unexpected treat. christmas eve dinner was good, don't remember anything else besides that. christmas...i dont remember that much anymore either i think ive been writing this for awhile. anyway, thank you all for your gifts. i appreciated every single one of them and really need to write some thank you notes now.. i dont remember what else i was going to say. our tree's gone now and im sad. it's a lot colder looking without the nice lights and the works. one of the days after christmas i went with my mom and my sister and my sister's friends to see the holiday. i actually kind of liked it, which was insanely weird for me. i wish it was winter break again. i played so much viva pinata. it was beautiful.
yesterday i felt really sick so i stayed home, but i think i was just really dehydrated because after i spent the day drinking my bladder to death, i felt a lot better. i went to jenna's and wound up spending the night and it was cool. her brother (theyre twins ahhaha) got a wii and it looks kind of .... like....i definitely couldnt play it and like you are kind of...retarded when you play it, sorry, but you kind of do. i dont know. i dont think im particularly fond of it...personally. i went to her house at 7 pm on friday and left at 10 pm on saturday..last night. oh my god. ahhaha. we played a lot of snes which was the coolest ever, hhahha, we couldnt figure out how to beat the last level of bubble bobbles though. and we played a huge game of monopoly on snes with the brilliant strategy of continously pressing a. i won with 28,000 dollars, hahaha. awesome, needless to say. weirdest ever.. i spend a lot of time with jenna now. randz?
randoms: my parents also said that they would like me to stop using the word crap so much. i personally find that really frustrating. i dont know if you would know. i dont (think i) swear on this blog. anyway. also. i am really beginning to like rap now that i'm really good friends with jenna which is kind of weird/random, but she likes my music too so whatever. but it's kind of random. i just bought the re up. don't tell her, which you wont, but just dont. because that would be a victory. especially because i like it. i already admitted to really liking eminem, her obsession. aha. i also have to say that everyone talking about tolo all the time is getting SO annoying. i do not care and i am not asking anyone and i am not going and i dont really care about the cute ways everyone is asking everyone. ugh. i also looked up "plateau", "eastlake high school", and "sammamish" on urbandictionary. the entries are really depressing but mostly true. i think that's the saddest part. it's really depressing how people from around here have a fag rep, like, if you go somewhere and someone asks you where you go and you say eastlake, they're like, "oh." one of them. dude. ugh. no. this is lame. i also did not make a new years resolution. i dont think i've ever made one.
also. i don't really care much about school. i seriously bs everything now and it doesn't even matter, i don't really try, i think i have a 4.0. extended core is the dumbest thing i've ever heard of if i have a 4.0 and i don't even really do anything. it's kind of nice to not care much anymore. because i feel like it doesnt even matter anymore. and i used to be such a perfectionist OA. OBSESSED ALCOHOLIC, just kidding, it means OVERACHIEVER. nevermind i guess that's not funny unless youre a specific person but im keeping it so i can remember it later when im 85 years old. good.
