One more day of summer...

...has now passed into history...almost. I'm really disappointed. Kaitlin brought up the idea of doing something tonight, like making something for Annie, and then she never responded to my message on myspace, couldn't be reached by phone, and didn't make any attempt at contacting me. It just really annoys me when people do that because I've already planned to set aside time for them...and then they just (maybe unintentionally) drop it on my head.

So today was spent going through old magazines, ripping out pages I found to be useful or nice or inspiring, and making a really tall recycle pile. It was very hot, and I now keep a fan in my room, which is a definite improvement. I need a better lighting system, though; it's better now that summer's here, but for the rest of the year, it's pretty dark...I'm hoping that I can sort of revamp my room in the next few months with all the free time.

I'm not dying to go to Warped Tour anymore. From First to Last isn't playing anymore - they dropped out due to Sonny (lead singer) needing surgery to remove a node. I think this is going to be his third surgery. That kind of concerns me because this is my favorite band, and I really hope they don't wind up losing Sonny eventually because of his vocal issues that seem to keep appearing. He's a smoker, but he's also young (eighteen) if that has any effect. I don't know what's up with the vocals...but I really hope a) Sonny doesn't die really young or something and b) FFTL doesn't part due to some sort of increase in ditching tours because of the lack of voice. And unfortunately, they wouldn't sound at all the same with one of the other members on vox. I really care about that band, honestly. I really, really do. I don't quite know why; it's not like I know any of them personally.

Oh yes, which brings to me to another weird mini rant - I got the new AP (Alternative Press, magazine) in the mail today. It was another one where they had two editions/covers (and you get one)...this is the second time that From First to Last (or someone from it) has been on a cover, I think - at least during my subscription. Anyway, it seems that every time they/he is on a cover, I always get the OTHER cover. And personally, I really don't want to go out to Borders and pay five bucks or whatever for a cover. Except that I want the cover.

I did major cleaning in my room today...seriously major. About 1/4 to 1/2 of my room was about six inches to a foot high with clothes...all put away now! I hate unpacking..can you tell?

And I was sitting in my room, bored and trying to figure out what the heck to do, when I decided that I wanted to make totes. Nothing huge, but a bag..bags with different designs. I can give them to my friends as birthday presents without spending five million dollars, and they'll look cool. Yeah, so I need to learn how to do that, because I have quite a few ideas. And I'm wondering if people would pay me for them or anything.

..........I'm quite concerned about my money lately. I've basically tried to redo a huge part of my wardrobe this year since I've outgrown (not physically, though) a lot of it. I've kind of run low on cash in that sense, I want a video iPod because the mini can't hold about 700 songs that I want on it, I need to restock about all of my "toiletry items" and have resorted to borrowing my sister's stuff everyday, something is wrong with my laptop's mouse, my sister and I really want to buy an N64 but she's probably not asking for one for her birthday which means I have to chip in for it, at least three birthdays are coming up in the next month.........etc. So now that I've told you all about my lack o' dough, yeah.

Thus ends a blog about nothing in particular.

i really miss everyone now

Yeah. It's kind of weird to not have people pushing for all sorts of activities. I slept in until almost noon today, left my room at 12:30, ate, watched TV, attempted to budget my money for the summer, kind of did nothing, worked, and now I'm sitting here. I haven't showered in two days and I need to work out, but I don't want to. I need to drink water and eat healthy. I need to do all sorts of poop. Whoohoo...and I still need to visit Annie in the hospital if she's not high on morphine or anything. Sweeet.

No Title

Alright, so school's out and has been for over a week. I suck at updating. I'm sorry.
Uhh, I am happy/sad about summer. It means that I have to go to Eastlake and be around more idiots (am I being too pessimistic?)...like the majority of the juniors. They seriously...I don't even know. Nobody really seems to like them outside of their grade. They're like super party-drinking-sex-marijuana-fakeID-clubbing-yougetthepicture people. I really don't want to be around them and am definitely not looking forward to people I know right now falling into that. It's such a waste of life...at least in my opinion. But hey, if you like to use up 90% of your time awake just partying, then...that's rad. Good for you.

California was really great - it was awesome to see everyone and be away from the bubble that I normally live in. I'm kind of glad to be home though...I sleep on a mattress again! Wheeeee...I also realized how much I missed having my own fridge that I could attack. Whenever I'm in someone else's house, really regardless of who they are, I don't like to...eat...their food. Am I the only one who's like this? I don't know. I always find that at the end of almost any trip, I've become relatively unhealthy. Hah.

My family had taco salad and watched Glory Road last night. It was good. It seems like they've made a lot of racism-sports movies...Remember the Titans, Friday Night Lights, Glory Road, etc. Not bad, but it does get to be kind of repetitive to a certain extent.

Oh yes, and as for the weekend before going to California, I saw X-Men 3 on Sunday Night with Kaitlin and my dad. I thought it was okay, but the worst of all three. And I seriously got a little annoyed about how the Nightcrawler (blue guy who teleports..remember?) just wasn't in it at all without any explanation. I mean, what happened to him?! Did he go back to worship the Lord in Germany? I thought he and Storm had...a storm brewin'. K, anyway. Friday night I had a bunch of people over. Sunday, yes I am completely not going in chronological order, Father's Day, we went to Salty's in Seattle. It was really nice...they had this huge buffet with a lot of seafood and a lot of everything not seafood. And a huge area of dessert...needless to say, I enjoyed the whole experience. They even had a chocolate fountain..and really good salmon and cheesecake and creme brulee and what not. Good stuff.

I have to say that I'm quite astonished by the fact that next time I see you, Katie, you will be in college. :-O We're getting old, you guys. We'll be wrinkly soon. Actually, I'm already kind of wrinkly because I do my "serious" expression too often. They aren't wrinkles, but those annoying expression lines in your forehead. They became visible when I was like eleven. If I can expect to live to 79, that means that I have only 63.5 years to live. Poop. About 1/4 of my life...Anyway, done with the grim calculations.

Peace out, girl scout.

salfkjda SAD!

I went to Kaitlin's last weekend. We watched X-Men 1 and 2. We're hoping to go see the third one this weekend before I leave for California. Tomorrow's the last day of school! I seriously can't believe it, and now I'm sad. And I somehow have a huge Sharpie spot on my jeans from someone signing yearbooks today..or maybe just me signing yearbooks. No idea. Anyway, it's kind of sad now that the end is nearing. It's the end of an era, haha.

Tuesday night Laura and Becca slept over, which was kind of weird...because it was a school night, but not really because we don't really do anything. I have A's in all my classes except B+'s in PE and math. I think. I actually don't know my grade in PE, but I'm assuming. Math makes me mad...I haven't been able to keep an A in that class this year. It's really hard. And now it's all over! On Tuesday we went to the mall and bought presents for three teachers - Mr. Pudwill, Mr. Bangasser, and Mr. Hanson-a few of our favorites. All of my favorite teachers at Inglewood have been men. I think that's because they're more consistent than women are, or at least...usually. They aren't quite as insane, and their personalities don't usually change from crabby to happy to just plain pissed. They're either good or bad. Anyway, we got Mr. Pudwill this lizard/dragon/dinosaur/thing stuffed animal. He looked at us like we were insane, but that's Mr. Pudwill. Hahaha, he's my Language Arts teacher. We gave Mr. Hanson (math) a stuffed zebra, and he was very happy. Like, giddy. It was really funny, actually. Apparently he's never received a stuffed animal before and was quite excited. Mr. Bangasser (PE) got flowers and a duck that sings songs when you squeeze it. It's kind of funny because he's one of the most "macho PE yell at people types" but only the yelling comes if he doesn't like you. He was very touched and very happy. I LOVE GIVING!! And the boys' locker room is way bigger than the girls' locker room. Not fair.

Today we had periods 1, 2, 5, and 6 + Roundtable (Advisory/homeroom). For me, that was Consumer Living, Science, PE, and Math. Now they're all over! I am sad. AHH!!! NOO!!!

Tomorrow periods 3 and 4 end. That's Humanities, a block period. :(

We had "fun day" today and got our yearbooks. Fun day's like a free 1.5 hour period outside.

Yeah. Cool. I am sad. I'm staying over at Kaitlin's house tonight.

Please don't kill me...please...

Sorry it's been so long. Busy...then yesterday (this was written yesterday, so it's a tad behind) this site wouldn't work due to maintenance problems or something, apparently.

Wow, so it's been quite awhile. I'm really sorry about that, haha. Things have been really hectic, and I don't even procrastinate anymore. I can't wait until summer, when I'll have some time to just sit down and breathe for a second. It has seemed as though weekends have been obliterated.

Well, so...May 19 to June 8. Almost a month. Bad Natalie, bad! (Yeah, I speak in third person...)

Driver's Ed is over...finally. May was kind of annoying for that reason. I'm done with everything but the actual drive test, and I'm supposed to take that on June 30. I'm kind of nervous about it just because I have so little experience behind the wheel that I really couldn't pass at the moment. This weekend and after school's out my dad and I are practicing, I think. I've been out a few times with my mom too...it's kind of weird though (I don't know if I've said this before) because there isn't really a designated "NATALIE" car, and no nice, small and controllable automatic...yet. It's been kind of odd to try to learn to drive the SUV, then the stickshift, then the driver's ed car. Haha, I'm not trying to whine, but I don't know if you guys were kind of uncomfortable beginning driving. It's just kind of hard, at least for me, to switch off. I need some kind of consistency. BUT! My mom and dad are getting rid of the old acura and beginning to look at used cars, so I am happy! I get to be Tessa's new chaffeur!

Shakespeare is almost over. I really have issues understanding it. :( We did what Mr. Pudwill referred to as "tableaux vivants"...short plays, of sorts. Mercutio has died, and I am without a character as of now.

We went to Cirque du Soleil's Varekai!! It was amazing. Really, it was one of the most astonishing, enchanting, captivating, grabbing, beautiful, and peculiar performances I've ever seen. I went to one when I was younger, but I was too young for it at the time. I really, really loved it. Wow. I can't get over it, haha.

I went to Annie's (does anyone remember her? she's the one from the east coast. brown hair, green eyes, serious dancer?) dance recital with Kaitlin, and that was awesome because I haven't seen her dance outside of my kitchen or Kaitlin's living room. She was amazing! She's really talented, and like, I knew she was good, but I just never realized just how good she is. All the competition dances were really impressive. It's just so funny to watch her dance for some reason (not funny, but you know..).....it's just so weird...I mean, it's ANNIE! She's not supposed to be GRACEFUL and stuff. She's too quirky. They did like every type of dance-lyrical, jazz, tap, etc-not ballet though.

Chelsea and I are doing a blanket project for our Consumer Living class. It's due Monday...and we have to make four blankets by then. :( Ahhh...too much to do!

We also have to do these reflections presentations in Advisory (homeroom, essentially). It's kind of irritating mainly because they're really personal. We wrote essays reflecting on our personal (keyword) growth and experiences at Inglewood. Nobody really wants to share it. It just feels like such an invasion of privacy to go stand up there and share some of your deeper thoughts, feelings, etc with people you barely know.

We (family) went to an auction in Seattle a week or so ago. I don't remember. We got a really cool Spiderman poster. Yay. The food was good too...and there was good lemonade and chocolate mousse cake. I had to wear a dress and heels. Me. Dress and heels.

We're playing golf in PE. I'm not very good. I did well on Monday, then I was HORRIBLE yesterday. Golf is poop. We finished running all our miles for that class, though, so we don't have to wear the PE uniform anymore. Good riddance.

I wanted to throw a 666 Party on Tuesday, but it didn't work because I was at Wild Waves and then I went home and slept for a long time...haha. Dang.

The Dinner Dance was on Friday. It was pretty good, but it was weird because we all had "bus buddies"...and apparently mine, Jessa, had told someone else she had put her name down as her bus buddy (Jessa hadn't really, though), and so the girl thought Jessa was her buddy and I was some random leech. It was really annoying, and I felt really bad for her at first and was kind of disappointed in my "bus buddy", but then the other girl was just being a jerk. No pity or anything anymore for her! The dance itself was boring at first, but then I started hanging out with Laurie, then Kaitlin and Greg. I found that I can't suck helium. The principal was there on the boat, and he saw that Greg and Becca were trying to teach me how to suck helium, and so he actually like cut off the end of a balloon and made me try. It...didn't work. Yeah, I don't know. It was a pretty good night, but it was kind of annoying how everyone was trying to be cute. That really gets to me.

Honor Society Wild Waves Trip was on Tuesday. It was okay, but there wasn't much to do, and Chelsea, who I usually hang with at those things, had another friend with us. That wasn't bad, but it was kind of awkward because we didn't know each other. This particular girl...I always feel like she dislikes me for whatever reason, or she sees people as rivals. It makes me feel uncomfortable. :( Then on the bus ride back these people started throwing brownies rolled up to look like poop. It was really weird...and then everyone came to where we were sitting and a lot of food started flying places, I got somewhat sat on by some people, as did everyone, etc. I feel bad for the person who got to find poop brownies and random pieces of turkey on the bus.

I watched Firewall today. It was good. I made a lot of Orange Julius. Hooray. It is raining.

Finals are this week. Almost done. Math Final Part 2 is tomorrow...then I'm almost free.
